Hello, my name is Nathan Lis, and I’m a Meteorological Data Scientist at DTN.
My current work involves developing machine learning models to predict the location and severity of weather-related power outages. I also model the impact of weather on transportation.
I have been fascinated by the weather ever since I was 5 years old, and now have an educational and professional background in meteorology and weather modeling. Through my research I hope to protect lives and property by improving forecasts for hazardous conditions.
